Email Service Providers-  The good bad and ugly!!!

I just learned someone I know real well stuck it out with the intranet service companies email system.  Apparently their server went down and all his saved files were deleted.  OOOOPPPPPS!!!!!!  Don't trust your emails, especially your important ones with a second rate service.  Computers are most often reliant on computers so when one fails there is a mass failure kinda like the move July 4th or whatever it was called.  That was where the alien ships attacked earth and they we were all saved by a computer virus.  I have one Savior and if you are interested in learning about Him click here!

Yahoo is a good email service as is Gmail for Google, and MSN's Hotmail or Livemail.  I am enjoying Google's email service the best, perhaps it is because I am not bombarded with ads so wide I can't read my emails.  Those three Google Gmail, Yahoo mail, and MSN Live all have link scanners which scans the mail for harmful infections.  They all seem to work real well.  MSN has massive amounts of server space.  I used to worry and delete files until I now get about 150 a day so it is hard to keep up.

Uploading Files:

If you are sending photo's click send attachment or something to that effect.  Remember there is a limit to the amount of data you can send.  From my understanding the industry standard is 10 megabytes at a time.  If you are sending a document make sure to use send data attachment.  The data atachment is good for files other than pictures.

Warning about Viruses in Emails:

Be careful about giving out your email address.  A lot of people may start spaming you.  Just so you know there are fines and people can get fined for spamming so it is a good deterent if you get a lot of spam.  A lot of viruses and especially spyware and adware are sent in emails.  Be careful because you don't know when one email or link you click on will destroy your computer and all your computer files, not to mention steal your identity.

WARNING ABOUT SCAMS:

Never trust someone on the other side of these machines.  I mean even I have my own story but I am not afraid to tell the truth.  The thing is there are lots of scams.  Don't play with the Junk Box or its like playing with a snake and they do bite!!!  Only go to the junk file if an important email got misdirected.  Don't click on any Junk Mail no matter how many millions you just won or whatever it may be.  They don't call it junk because it is good and you won't ever find anything worth anything like you might at county dump.  If you are that bored go browse my web sites.  They are a lot more entertaining and they won't bite you.  For the main landing page click here and have fun!!!
